The incident on the evening of May 17 took place after hours and outside any programming of the California Contract Cities Association Annual Municipal Seminar. It appears the altercation was related to personal matters between two Council Members from the same city.

Contract Cities has a strict Code of Conduct for our members that supports the best of local government and encourages a collaborative and learning environment. The Contract Cities Executive Board will be meeting this week to review the facts of the incident and evaluate any disciplinary action, which could include suspension or revocation of the individual from participating in future Contract Cities events.
