The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) is inviting local jurisdictions and the public to help shape the future of the Southern California region in a series of open houses that will kick off on May 26, in the City of El Centro. The public will be asked to collaborate on the new 2016-2040 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (RTP/SCS), an in-depth plan that hopes to meet our future needs by addressing issues such as the region’s bus, rail and freeway network, workforce development, land use, housing, air quality, goods movement and public health. It is imperative that as many people as possible get involved and provide feedback to ensure the best possible plan for Southern California.

A total of 20 Open Houses will be held throughout the region in the counties of Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura in order to gather input from residents regarding issues, challenges and priorities.
